Technologies we use in our apps

Crashlytics (Google Inc.)

We use Crashlytics, a crash reporting system provided by Google LLC or by Google Ireland Limited, depending on the location What Lies Underground is accessed from. Crashlytics allows us to maintain the app; to help troubleshoot technical issues if a crash has occurred. If a crash occurs then a report is sent to Crashlytics containing crash traces and some anonymous technical information about the mobile device.

These include a stack trace of code running in the app at the time of the crash; App Version Number, Date and Time of Crash; Device Model; Orientation (portrait/landscape); OS Version; proximity on/off; if device has been rooted; free RAM and free storage space. Installation UUID (an anonymous unique number automatically generated when the app is installed) this number is not visible to our company but is used inside the Crashlytics system to count the number of different users affected by a particular type of crash. Crashlytics uses anonymous IP addresses to provide the service. No personal data is transmitted and no conclusions can be drawn about specific persons.
